What is SVSLearn?
Officially, we’re the School of Visual Storytelling, which is kind of a mouthful. So we go by SVSLearn for short 😀 We are an online educational resource for artists of all skill levels. We offer online illustration classes that you can stream on demand no matter where you are (as long as there is a good internet connection!).
I’m new here. How does it work?
Welcome! We have several different options for taking art classes : )
Subscribe and get instant access to 100+ video courses made by working artists. If you are curious to see what SVSLearn is all about, this is a great way to check it out. Binge all you want. You can cancel anytime.
Buy individual video courses outright. Not all our classes can be individually-purchased, but we do have a small selection available, such as How To Fix Your Art. If you want what you want, and nothing else, this is a great option. You own it for as long as SVSLearn is a thing.
Buy an interactive class, such as Children’s Book Pro. This is for those of you who want something a little more interactive than just streaming video. These generally run 10 weeks, and include weekly Zoom check-ins with the instructors. Currently, Children’s Book Pro runs 1-2 times per year, you can sign up here.
Should I buy a class, or do the subscription instead?
It’s up to you! If you buy an online art class, you can stream that class from your student account whenever you want, in perpetuity. You have access to only that class.
If you do the video subscription, you can choose from 100+ art classes to stream whenever you want, as long as your subscription is current. You lose access once your subscription is cancelled.
How much does it cost?
The monthly subscription is $29.95 per month. The annual subscription is $249.95 per year (which works out to $20.83 a month). You can learn more here.
For individual classes, prices range from $10 to $150.
For interactive classes, prices range from $250 to $600.
What are your payment options?
We accept all major credit cards via our credit card processor Stripe.
We also accept Paypal. Please note that if you pay with Paypal, you will need to contact us at support@svslearn.com if you want to cancel your subscription.
How do I access the classes?
During the process of buying a class or subscription, your student account is created. All of the classes you have purchased or subscribed to will be accessible in the dashboard of your student account.
I paid for my classes with PayPal but I don’t see them in my student account - um, where are they?
When you pay with PayPal, a student account is created for you with your PayPal email address as the username. Simply login to your student account with your PayPal email, and navigate to your dashboard. Get busy learning!
Do you offer a subscription?
Yes! We have a monthly subscription and a yearly subscription. With the subscription, you get instant access to the video only version of most of our classes!
How does the subscription work?
We want you to love it, so we built a free trial into the subscription. By signing up, you automatically get 14 days FREE to check out the subscription!
A credit card is required to start the free trial, but there is NO CHARGE to the credit card for the first 14 days. After the free trial is up, you will be automatically charged for the monthly or annual subscription (depending on which one you select) on a recurring basis, unless you cancel first.
If you feel it's not for you, you can cancel anytime. To prevent a future charge, just log in to your student account, navigate to the billing page, and click the Cancel button.
But if you're happy with the subscription, no need to do anything, just keep on learning! Your membership will continue as long as you choose to remain a member.
Will my monthly subscription end after one month, or my yearly subscription end after one year?
No, it will automatically renew every month or year on a recurring basis unless you cancel it manually first.
How do I cancel my subscription?
If you paid with a credit card, just navigate to the dashboard of your student account, go to the billing page and click the cancel button. Easy peasy!
If you paid with PayPal, just email us at support@svslearn.com and we will help you.
If you cancel before the end of the billing period, you will continue to have access to your subscription through the end of the billing period (which is the date of your recurring payments).
After your membership expires, you will lose access to the subscription and you will not be charged going forward.
Can I get a refund on my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription any time to prevent a future charge.
For monthly subscriptions, we offer refunds if you contact us within 3 days of the charge. For annual subscriptions, we offer refunds if you contact us with 14 days of the charge.

Can I get a refund on an individually-purchased class, such as How To Fix Your Art?
Because many of these classes include downloadable content, we do not offer refunds for classes purchased individually. Once you own it, you own it!
Is SVSLearn an accredited school?
No. SVSLearn is an online resource for artists of all skill levels. While we do offer online illustration classes, we are not an accredited school, and we do not offer a degree program. Think of it as a supplement to traditional art school.
How do I find out about upcoming classes?
Video Classes: We add new classes to the subscription throughout the year. We usually do several announcements when a new class is launched. You can find out about upcoming classes by:

Interactive Classes: Right now, our interactive classes are temporarily on hold while we revamp our curriculum. Subscribe to our newsletter for updates on when they will be offered.
