March Art Contest!

Art by Lee White.

You might need the Luck of the Irish to get through this prompt! Spring is just around the corner, and to brighten up our monthly challenge we thought the prompt “Lucky” would only be appropriate.

As luck would have it, there are many directions you can go with this prompt: good luck, bad luck, beginner’s luck, Lady Luck, luck of the draw!

Just try not to rely on dumb luck for this challenge!

Stay consistent as you’re learning and growing, and you’ll surely see that luck is on your side. Best of luck everyone!

Prompt Requirements

For this prompt focus on crafting a creative concept with a clear story. Need a little inspiration or some great strategies for doing this? Check out Will Terry’s new course Developing Great Visual Stories. Your illustration can be any format (e.g. spot illustration, full-page illustration, etc.).

Submission Requirements

Remember: You no longer need to use our template to submit your artwork! But all submissions must follow two requirements:

  1. The longest side of your submission must be 1200 pixels (you will need to create a scaled down version of your original artwork to fit this size)

  2. You must include a bar below your artwork with your name, forum handle or social media handles listed on it (this bar should be white with black text).

As always, be sure to submit via the Critique Arena website. Please note that the Submit Your Art! button will now take you to your SVSLearn student account, where you will be prompted to log in and submit your image in the Critique Arena course. Let us know if you have any questions!

We also encourage you to post your final entry in the forum as well so everyone can see and comment!

Ok team, let’s do this!
