Uh oh! Inktober is just around the corner!

Now is the time to figure out what you are going to draw, get all your materials ready and brush up on your inking skills (see what we did there?).

If you need practice, check out these new tutorials from Jake Parker, the founder of Inktober! He created 3 new tutorials to help you get ready for all the inking ahead.

In this series, you’ll learn the basics of how to ink, starting with line work, then adding textures, and finishing with value.

To get started, you’ll print out 3 templates and ink along with Jake! This is so you can focus purely on the craft of inking 🖋 Plus, you’ll get to ink some fun characters!

Now available for streaming in our video subscription!🎬

Inking Tutorial 3: Floating Witch

In Tutorial 3, you'll keep practicing the skills you have already learned, and add in shade and value. Typically inking is just black and white, but Jake will show you different techniques for getting those gray tones.

And just so you know, we have two more inking classes coming at ya!

Both classes are about how to experiment with ink. One is from an amazing ink artist out of Utah, David Habben. And one is from our very own Lee White!

Look for them in coming weeks!
